Utilities are both parties responsibility to have connected or disconnected. Remember that possession is the day of closing.

Utility arrangements must be made at least a week before closing with the effective date being the date of closing.

A picture ID must be present for all parties at closing.

The money you are bringing to closing must be in certified funds. If transferring money from another state, the transaction could take up to 72 hours.

The Homeowner's Insurance Policy must be in effect the day of closing. The lender will either require you to have this policy at the attorney's office BEFORE closing or may allow you to bring it with you when you come.

All parties to the transaction must be in attendance at the closing or a Power of Attorney Document must be prepared in advance for the absent individuals by the attorney. Time must be allowed for overnight process both ways.
